It is not always the right thing to let the drop fall down, Sam. Sometimes we have to hold it back, and show a smile, for the sake of others, for the sake of those who love us.
Let me tell you two incidents happened in my life, when I have let the tears fell down - When I was young my dad touched and kissed the photo of his parents and said "my mom and my dad, why did u leave me and go away?" and when my bro lost his close friend in a train accident and when I saw tears in his eyes.
So there are some incidents where we have to let our tears fall down. Need not to cry like a baby then and there itself. For example when my dad kissed his parents photo I just walked to the other side of the wall and wept.
